ok so my neighbor was moving and traded me his 89 integra for my 89 kx125 that didnt run. the car ran and everything so i figured what the hell. im new to working on Acuras and hondas as ive customized mostly VW's. ok so heres what i need help with

i want to swap a GSR into the car. i know its nearly impossible to put a Vtech into a g1 integra without major mods, thats fine. ive got time and a budget of about 2500 bucks. ive got the gsr motor and tranny.

car is currently a 5 speed with 291k on the clock.
Gsr has only 56k

and before someone tells me to sell the pos and buy a newer integra, i would but i want to do something different than everyone else

what do i need to do inorder to make this swap happen?

Also, i took the car out yesterday and ran the living **** out of it racing a stock 88 crx, whooped his ***. but when i got hme and cut the car off, and went to start it again to move it, i had no power what so ever. i tried jumping the car and i cant even get power to the interior lights. suggestions as to what the problem would be? im thinking bad ground and maybe a bad battery as its coated in acid..

1990 integra body kit (customized)
1990 front end conversion
17 inch rims with low profile tires (drag series)
sparco racing seats
short shifter
intake
exaughst system

its a crime cus you are exceeding the speed limit and putting other peoples lives in danger and also your life which i guess you dont seem to care about lol

When you race and kill someone...then you can ask the judge why it's a crime...as well as the person's family that has to live with your ignorance and stupidity...

 

hey yeah, as long as they die at your expense right? as long as your happy right? i used to street race, untill i got expletiveed up once. i had a 99 stratus, it would easily run a low low 13 second 1/4. raced some guy through town late one night, i was winning, until i lost control. i hit a pole and the car burst into flames. i would have burned with it if some woman, who i ran off the road, wouldn't have stopped and pulled me from my car. i was unconsious and stuck between the steering wheel and seat as the fire wall was moved about 8 inches back. i have permanent spinal cord injury, a crushed disk, my knee's are trashed and constantly swell up even from just walking. that was more that a year ago and i still go to physical therapy 2 time a week. here's a pic of the car. you can't see it in the pic, but the valve cover pushed the dash board back. the pole i hit was sheered off. the one peice hit the awning at a guys house, and smashed the porch up. the other half hung from the wires, the town was without power for a few hours, and the highway closed for a few hours, all because i was trying to be cool. /street racing.

holy ****.... how fast were you going?

 

i wish i had my flip light integra still. actually i might go back to it this summer. watch for a build up tread soon from me vtec's possible in these cars. it's already multi-point, and no custom mounts, it's pretty much like doing a b series into a 84-88 civic or crx (i probably got the years wrong but you guys know.) there was a guy that had a type r boosted in his 1st gen. it was honda tuning awhile ago.

oh yeah streetracing is wack. nothing good comes out of it. either you bet the guy and then get pulled over for speeding, or you'll hit someone or something. and if none of that happens you wasted your gas and gas is hella expensive these days to do anything.

 

45mph in like 2nd gear... its not a vtec and compaired to alot of the newer hondas and acuras, my car is slow, but it will still get up and move. so if you want to hate on a G1.... go right ahead. its different than all the other little gear heads out here with civics and what not. but i promise you one thing. my camaro will whip any cars ive seen.

 

damn bro. ive lost a few a friends racing, how fast were you goin?? and i usually go to the local drag strip to race, but theres a road here called 666 and its a long straight stretch with no cars ever on it. the cops will actually come out and race you sometimes.

very imature and narrow point of view on life.... one day u will understand and not take things for granted.


ultimately u just gotta ask yourself why you do it... what do u have to prove... to a bunch of people and strangers? they are no different than you, they can own the same car as you. they can learn to drive as good as you... your not special. no one is.

and as good as a driver anyone can be... u cant controll the variables.... u cant control a new pothole, u cant control the weather, or other road conditions....
u cant control a disaster.

and sure... maybe its unlikely that something horriffic will happen.. maybe the odds are in your favor...

but honestly what do you have to gain that justifies everything you could possibly lose?
