Default B16B spoon stroker kit... opinions!

hey guys, i just bought a 2000 civic hatch w/ a ctr motor, and wanted to stroke it with the spoon 1.8lt stroker kit. ive never stroked an engine or really messed with internals, mostly bolt ons on my last car. so i just want to know if this is a good idea. what do i need to do to make sure i dont blow my motor... all input is appreciated.
thanks

if you just want to make it a 1.8 just find an ls crank and rods and put the saved money into other parts or tuning

Are CTR block heights the same as ITR blocks?

Yeah. The CTR is a destroked ITR. Same head and block. Different crank, rods, and compression pistons.

Oh ya, if you do swap out the internals, I might want to buy the CTR one's off of ya.

im pretty sure the deck hieght on a ctr 1. 6 is the same as a b16 deck height on a itr is the same as any 1.8 or 2.0 block.. they have different strokes.

I am presently running this setup and love it. I got a ITR crank, eagle ITR rods, and wiseco 11.5:1 cr pistons and voila! ITR power in a b16 sleeper.

the only thing that will make it more functional and safe is knowing what your doing when you do it. Parts are only as reliable as the guy installing them.

Keep it stocked cranked and get the block sleeved and bored to 84mm. Match them up with some Titanium rods and a good set of pistons.
Youll have you a badass b16b then!

B18A,B,C,C1,C5,B16B,and B20 have the same deck height.
B16A,and B17 have the shorter deck height
