I bevel the pipes and selectively backpurge. Having a pipe fitter who lives next door and will give tips for beer is nice too.

Its divided all the way up to the wastegate valve. Paired 1+4, 2+3.

Where did you get the reducer that is on the downpipe directly after the V-band flange?

 

You're lucky that someone along the way invented the V-band...that's some close fitment which would be otherwise impossible unless those V-bands were available. Nice work

It's installed...and I was linked to some pictures a few weeks ago. I'll have to look for them. Hopefully Len will post up some pics.

 

It all fits! I even have room for a bigger turbo after I get done playing with this one. I still have a ton of fab work left to do before it gets back on the street. The wastegate and dumptube now sits where the alternator used to be, so I had to relocate it up front. I still have to finish the exhaust beyond what Eric gave me, but I'm working on getting the tranny finished first.

I'm really glad I didn't go with the sidemounted setup like the K20 cars do. Eric did some fantastic work making this fit considering he only went off of some dimensions and pics I gave him.

NativeSon, have you thought about running a blanket on the turbo to keep some temps down on that cowl top cover? That suckers gonna heat up like a champ.
