no, what i mean is do certain trannys have a governor, stops the car from accelerating when hit a certain mph... because i have civic ls and i could hit 127mph at the track and then i blew that tranny... (189k miles on it).. and then i had a dx tranny from the same year tranny and i could only hit 120mph and the car would die out.... and now i have a integra ls that was able to hit 145 no problem... dont know if could go faster, but now i got a type r trans and it causes me to stop accelerating when i hit 108mph... is it the gearing or is there like a limiter or something on them becasue i cant even make it down the whole track any more with out just all of a sudden like looses power and stops accelerating for a second until the car slows down...

Maybe punctuations and english???

Maybe your car is just slow? Transmissions do not have govenors it is the ECU!

Like said above, the engine is governed via the ECU when cutoff speed it reached. USDM ECUs do not have governers.

you could be maxing out your gears. but id be supprised if a type R maxed gears at 108 unless you had the redline at like 5500...

first where is there a problem with my english considering everythings spelt correctly... second, slow? i think not, considering its fully built and turboed the car hauls *** but then all of a sudden at about 108mph it's as if the fuel cuts out, BUT the only difference between the car now and 3 weeks ago is the transmission only... the ecu is still the same.

--- Don't argue with him. What do you have to prove?

Also, 3 Months the weather changed, the car has changed. Over time you would just need a tune, maybe your just hitting a fuel cut. Depending on your set up. Need some more specifics really.

--- How long has all this work been done to it? What size turbo? What bar are you running? etc.

I have a h22swapped EK. Gt40 520whp@19psi. After the motor broke in the entire tune went to ****. It's not just sitting and relaxing till summer and i can get it re tuned. I now hit a fuel cut, a CEL comes up for a second, and a loud bang out the back. Just because the motor broke in and the tune is basically useless now.

--- Do you have a fuel. air gauge? check if your running lean? What are the symptoms when you hit the fuel cut/limiter?

are your sparkplugs gapped correctly? are you throwing any CEL's when you hit the limiter?

I really would think its something small. The only way you would hit rev limtier is if it was in your ECU. and you have 300, so not jdm. jdm is capped @ 120mph.

not sure about the cel because the other day i all of a sudden go out and start my car and after only 5-10 seconds of it at idle the cel comes on... i try to read the code but instead of telling me what code its throwing the cel light instead just goes away and doesnt blink at all, or even come back on until i take the wire out of the connector and start it up again... so for some reason its not allowing me to read the code that it throws almost as soon as i start it up and i have no clue what it is because the car runs fine and everything...

yeah dude i highly doubt its ur tranny...check ur ecu and upgrade it...tune it...idk but it sounds like somethin ur ecu would do...i mean limiting ur speed...that's expletiveed up...think about it, how can a tranny do that? unless i'm missin somethin

--- If you read, he has s300 tuned. So that's the only thing that would make me think it's not the ecu. I would think it's something more technical. Def. not the tranny though.

Did you take it to a shop to have the trans swapped? If so...are you sure someone didn't take your s300 and swap it for a stock ecu?

I'm going to point you to the flaming thread stickied at the top of the forum. I am quite serious about that. This is your only warning.

exactly, so who cares if its not 100% perfectly gramatic english or not. as long as its understood then who cares... so if your not giving helpful info or answering an op's question, then just keep your comments to yourself.

and thank you dogginator, obviously some ppl just dont read things...
