Bought it today. wasnt running at first. replaced the dizzy and recharged the battery. Car started up fine the first time after i fixed it. I took it out for a spin to test it out. I was stopping at a stop sign and there was ice on the ground and the wheels locked up. It killed the engine and it wasnt in gear. I tried to jump start it. Nothing happened. The only way to get it to start is to pull it at about 20 and drop the clutch in second gear. Then it starts up. So i am trying to figure out if its the battery, grounding, starter or alternator. Any ideas? I drove it home and it was about 4 miles. It ran for 30 minutes before i drove it the first time. So i can pretty much rule out the alternator. checked the starter and it spins and moves in. grounding looks good. when i try to start it the starter sounds like the battery is cold but its not (cranks slow) then it clicks a couple times.

sounds like a starter issue. is the clicking coming from the starter?

 

check your bat cables
any corrosion in the wires will do this

also make sure the water level is correct in all the cells

got the starter tested today and it failed. it was pulling 122 amps. it was draining the battery. so problem fixed, thanks for the responses
