ok i tried the search but nothing came up....

i got a 90 HB Civic and i would like to raise the hood straight up.... like 5G and 6G civics... i have seen this done before... but never close enough,..
just wanted to know how u guys have managed to do it.... the hinch doesnt go more back its stops...

....Just push it back and use the same hole I did as shown. Should work fine

 

the reason it stops is because it has a stop on the drivers side hinge that is hled in with a nut all you have to do is remove it and you can go back further...you might have to remove the palastic cowl to get to it.

 

if i'm not mistaken the hood hinges have a stop on them.i believe it is held on with a nut.it's a very small bracket and probably barely seen under the sealant.

 

can u post a pic of this nut u speak of? i've been wondering the same thing
