Axle? Wheel bearing? Missing 3 lugnuts!
Okay so I'm taking a delivery and I hear a sort of mid-high pitch noise coming from the driverside front. At first, I though it was the fender liner rubbing but it was strapped in place. Going up the on-ramp, I feel a slight up and down motion like the axle was bent or just not in correctly when I was creeping in motion. As i was on the gas no sound or vibration was felt. As soon as I was off the gas there rumbling from the wheel. It slowly got worse and worse and as soon as I was parked I was missing three lugnuts, including the locking nut!
. To top it off, one of the lugs got rounded off! Anybody have an idea of what caused this? It can't be under-torqued lugnuts... i torqued them down
. Thanks guys!

hmm maybe nobody tighten the nuts on the wheel... check ur axle and check ur control arm. it could be bent. tighten up the nuts and c wut happen if it does it agian u might need a need hub for the wheel.
my only guess would be that the lug nuts werent on tight. at least you caught that before the wheel popped off. my wheel popped off on me because of a dumb mistake made by me a week ago.
Okay, thanks guys! My buddy's bringing over a torque wrench and some lugnuts tomorrow and we'll make sure everything's torqued to spec. If it still acts up then it's got to be the axle or something to that nature
I would say, yea, check your control arms and axle... but they can't be the cause of the lugnuts popping off. Sorry to say but you probably didn't tighten them when putting the wheel on. The lugnuts would probably be one of the last things to be affected by the suspension. Not quite sure about the one that was rounded off... foul play maybe?
