I recently got a gsr swap into my 97 ej6..it seems that vtec pops at 4800-4900 rpm but does not begin to pull till way later like in the mid to late 6k. Checked oil level and oil pump is new so shouldn't be any oil pressure issues. All wiring on vtec good and so on...
