Default Noise from a new quaife

I am buying a new quaife from a local shop, and they are going to install it. I stopped in today to take a look at it before it goes into the tranny and when moving it side to side a noise comes from it as if the internals are moving back and forth . The shop owner has never noticed it on any other quiafes, but has really not ever paid attention They are going to give quaife a call on Monday to find out if it is normal for those sounds to come from it, but I just thought I would post up and see if anyone else has noticed this with a quaife

If anything rattles or moves around clinking then i would not trust it. Those type of items are not suppose to move, so to speak, in other words they are suppose to be stationary.

That was my thought too. The thing is I just checked out the ITR diff that I have and it does the same thing. I am thinking it may be something with the design. I guess I will know for sure when he calls quaife
