cam gear diff?

im useing a y8 head on a z8 block i have both heads can anyone tell me for sure if the y8 cam gear is half a tooth off? i also have a z6 dizzy will that work as well?

A D16Z6 distributor is not going to work on a D16Y8 head. The bolt pattern is different.
