Default What type of distributer?

I have a 1999 Prelude non-sh and I want to get the msd external cap and coil, will it fit on the oem distributer? it says to it will fit on TEC Distributor, and i have no idea what that is, and can't seem to find anything about it.

I own an SH, but I'm pretty sure the ignition systems are the same, and yes, you can run an MSD coil. You do not need the cap (although you might as well replace it) since the 5th gen's already have an external coil. Somebody else might be able to chime in about the distributor type, though.

It won't make any noticable difference over a new stock ignition I can promise you that.

Personally I have had 2 aftermarket ignition boxes (MSD and Jacobs Electronics) and they both died out at random times and left me stranded. Sometimes if it was humid outside the car would bog or not run at all...
