As far as I know, there are several variations of this top (Shine, Mooncraft, etc). I have seen some where they rigged some sort of dampers to the system that allowed the rear portion to stay up. This allowed the OEM trunk to be opened. Unfortunately, I only saw this in one picture and it seemed to be of an unstreetable full racecar.

The others I've seen work two ways:
1. You have to actually remove the rear portion of the top and then open your OEM trunk.
2. You have to lift up the rear portion of the top and hold it up manually, while also opening your OEM trunk.

I'd say in any instance, this would be a pain. There are a few people on http://www.s2ki.com with most versions of the top and most say they don't even use the trunk.

Can you guys not see the picture I posted above?

It's a pain in the *** to use the trunk, but it's useable.

You have to lift the hardtop, then prop it up with some long stick or something, and then open your trunk.
