Default SUSPENSION FOR THE S

Whats up Fellas,

iv'e been lookin into getting some coils for my S,iv'e been doing alot of research on alot of brands but just cant seem to find the answers on which coilover will take the fender to the tire and still maintain a comfortable ride(i can settle for a lil stiffness), looking at the bc n+ / teins /d2's /f-forms etc.anyone that has or been there what would you recommend??any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS

PLEASE NO SH*T TALKING,if you have any intentions on flaming GTFO!

If that is all you want, just get some Ground Controls and customize the spring rates so that they are equal to or a bit stiffer than stock and dump it.

Depends on what kind of driving you want to do. All coilover setups will allow you to drop the car to your desired height.

good? good as low price?

do you really trust a suspension from a company with no suspension testing and engineering background?

good as in a good coil, daily driven dumped wise,i've been in several forums in regards of these coils and it seemed like 90% of peeps that had them said the same things about them i am still open to other brands im in no rush, just slowly going down the list and seeing what kind of feedbacks they get through people's experiences with em,i'l definately keep that in mind though..

They're full body adjustable. So you can slam them without changing the shock travel.

How much are you looking to spend? Are you doing this just for the "look"? I know you said you wanted ride quality..but did you also want performance?

If you just want a simplistic drop, buy some Koni yellows and skunk2 springs. I had the springs on my car...the car rode great. The rear was a little high, but if you had konis, you could just turn the perches down a little.

Or you could do GC/konis.

You're not really asking for much. If you still want a coilover, and you just want to dump it and have it ride ok; Really any full body adjustable coilover will ride decent since you're not changing shock travel. Just make sure the spring rates aren't sky high. It's not complicated.

If you want it low, good handling, and a good ride, you'll want to look in Bilstein PSS9's, KW V3's, and any of the high end dampers. (sachs, boges, aragosta, moton, ohlins)

my budget is about $1300,and i guess im looking to get both "looks" and "performance" i mean i was happy with the espelir ASD's(nice drop)..i slapped on the rpf1's,n wanted to go lower, so it all made sense.i want to close the finger gap all around nd stiffin up all 4 corners.so practically i want the car to sit low n perform well..

I've had Tein Flex on another car. I now have KW V3s on my S2000. The KWs are head and shoulders above the lower level Teins. You cant say "Tein anything" will be good ones. Some of the real real low level Teins look like they have really wack spring rates. Their dampers are somewhat inconsistent as well. I'd give low to midrange Tein a grade of "C" overall.

I've never rode on buddy clubs.

For $1300, I doubt you're going to get a GOOD quality coilover. Save up a little bit. You're just out of range for a nice setup. Save like $500-600 more.

You can, however, piece together something for $1300 or below. GC konis, or just Konis and your Espelir springs.

Stiffer doesn't nessacarily mean it will handle better. Dont get fooled into that. I'd stay conservative with spring rates on the S2000. It's not very forgiving to begin with (RWD sports cars are usually not forgiving). A higher spring rate will make the car more edgy. Plus, if your spring rate is too high for the surface you're on...you'll end up just bouncing into a ditch or the gravel pit.
