Default What to use for turob/parts after mini-me swap?

Well guys, Im new here and was wondering when i get my 2000 Civic DX hatchback, i want to do the mini-me swap, putting the D16Y8 head on the D16Y7 bottom end. Now if i wanted to turbo later, would i get a turbo for the Y7 or the Y8??? Also what would be some other cheap modifications to do after the mini-me and before turbo??? Can the y8s/y7s even handle turbos????

A turbo is a turbo and can be added to almost any engine. People have done turbos on d-series engines for a number of years now. Search in the Forced Induction forum and do a little research.

Im in the process of turbo-ing my mini-me del sol. So far i've got a turbo, blow-off valve, downpipe, and intercooler off a 1st gen eclipse. The type of turbo is a 14b good for like 7 lbs of boost LOL. anyways im in the process of finding an EG civic CX exhaust manifold to custom make a turbo manifold. As for cheap mods, intake, exhaust, and an oil change and you'll be good to go on that SOHC. I guess the whole point of this post is to check out homemadeturbo.com and all your questions will be answered!
