Default Can I turbo?

94 civic dx hatchback 1.5L SOHC. I dont want to swap the engine right now because I dont have the money. I wanted to see what it would take to put together a turbo. I can build most of it myself I just need to know what parts are needed and what turbo/intercooler to go with.

poor, poor little no0bs. an LS swap would be easier than a turbo, cost less, be more reliable, and probably make you faster. the combination of a turbo, all related plumbing, intercooler and piping, bracketry, fuel tuning hard/software, dyno time to get her running right and the miscellaneous stuff that every turbo honda needs to have (bov, turbo timer, etc.) will break your bank even moreso than a full-on swap. if you think you're up to custom piecing your own turbo then a direct-bolt-in engine swap should be no trouble. good luck. i'm sure you'll make the right decision.
