I tried to find another thread to bump or to look off of. No luck.
Here is what happened...
After work today I was driving home, and I heard a winding noise coming from about the middle of my engine bay. When I speed up it gets louder. When I slow down it gets softer. I push the clutch in, but it doesn't effect the noise. I pulled over to check it out, but didn't hear anything. There was a little bit of the CV axle fluid on the middle of the firewall -- driver side. I checked the boot and it's not torn, so there probably is a leak somewhere.
I started to drive some more. The noise sounded really bad with the acceleration, so I pulled over and shut the car off and looked in the engine bay. I noticed some snow on the passenger lower arm in the bay. I brushed it off and made sure my axles were fine. Then I started driving once more.
There was no more noise this last time. But I know that it didn't fix itself. I don't have anything to look for anymore and need to know what it could have been, so I can fix it before it comes back. What should I do?
I let my car warm up every time before I drive it, so the problem wouldn't be a cold engine, would it?
Thanks H-T

112,000 on a 92 Civic Si all stock. Just did a complete tune up with water pump, and everything you can think of.
