Default Anyone used a Miller 330A/B before

This is a older ac/dc tig welder that is discontinued by miller but I just wanted to know who has used one before and what they thought about it. There is a manufacturing company local to me who is selling one for $150 w/ torch and all cables (no remote pedal) because they just upgraded to newer equipment. I contacted them and they said it works great and was just removed from production less that 30 days ago. I currently using mig welders only at work right now but I have done a little tig before on a dynasty 200. Just looking for something I can use at home that has all the features that I'll need to work on my tig skills. Only thing that is holding me back from buying the unit is I would have to get a new foot pedal and brand new they are $300+. If only I could find a used pedal. Any help is appreciated.

If you chose to buy it, my concern would be power requirements and physicaly getting it into your garage. You can find the manual on millers web site. Good luck.

Yeah I saw the manual at the miller website already. Its wired for 220v single phase which I already have in the garage so that won't be a problem. In terms of getting it in the car that won't be a problem if i use a van because they can put it in there with a forklift. The problem will be getting it out. Basically just want to know if it would be worth buying this thing.

for $150 I would go grab it. Ask if you can try it out first though. Maybe have a guy that used to use it help you set it up if you are not sure.

That is a great welding machine. Make sure it works though. The one nice thing is these machines are usually cheap to fix. They don't have the expensive boards and things the newer machines have like a syncrowave or even worse a Dynasty.
They are really nice welding machines on clean material (like it better then a syncro) but not as good/easy when the material is a casting is a casting or similar

Nice find and cheap. We have one at our shop but we are trading it in for a miller water cooled torch setup, they cost around $1000 here, so we are getting a good deal

I JUST bought a water cooled 330 abp for $800. The cheapest I've found them was about $900 and that was out of state! They are HUGE ! I had a tow truck get mine for $75. Just got garage wired and awaiting more $$ for argon and supplies...

Here is mine....

so what did you think of them? I know they don't compare to a dynasty but it also only cost $150 plus I just picked up a used pedal for $150. Going to pick up the machine this weekend hopefully.
