Default Window won't close now...

I just parked my car at work, and started closing the window. It's power window's by the way in my 96 hatch. It get's to 3/4 the way closed, and I hear a snap. And the window won't move, the regulator seems to be working. Because I can hear the mechanism spinning if I push it to close. I know I'll have to take off the door panel to check it out. This sucks, what could have happened?

the snap was probably the nitrous bottle the size of a scuba tank compressing.

Just open your door panel and set it straight again... Does the window seem to go up crooked?

Look at where the mirror is, at that seal, is the window getting caught up on that seal? if it is then the window jumped out of the track, if that happenedd you most likely bent the regulator also. (this happened to me, i just put it back in the track and it would pop out every once in a while) If the window is jumping when it gets as far up as it can go then the teeth on the gear are worn too far. This happened to me and thats when i finally shelled out the money for a new regulator..

It may have came off the track, Thanks. And yes it seems to jump as it goes up to close.

fixed it!...took some time to figure out. But the plastic circular gear with teeth, some how managed to get itself off. I put it back on, and its opening and closing like normal.

lucky...

my regulators gears were stripped so it would only get about 1/2 an inch from closing... new regulator and motor ran me about $110.
