Default Time to clean cai filter

Has anyone cleaned the injen cai filter w/o taking the bumper off?

That just seems like the biggest hassle just to clean a damn filter!

I have fog lights so there isn't any clearance to kind of wiggle it out from the top.

Let me know what you guys do.

I know I have asked this before, but no one responded so im trying again haha.

Thanks!

going to replace my very dirty injen filter with an apexi one this weekend. i really don't see how you would clean it without removing the bumper though.

I know someone said one time you can just take that bottom lining off and pull it out

But I still don't see how.

Theres gotta be an easier way, I'm sure honda doesnt take the bumper off just to replace the stock air filter. Taking the bumper on and off over time is going to ruin your bumper it never sits the same once you take if off even afte a few times

and thats cause your stock air filter is in your engine bay, not down in the front bumper like your cai.

just take the bumper off...its so easy.

you could try to unclip the wheel well and see if that works.

Yeah its wayy down there in the engine bay, Correct me if im wrong but even if you undid the lining at the bottom of the bumper theres barley any room to unclip the box and install a new filter for the stock intake. Its a cold air intake its still down there by the bumper.

that box your talking about is a resonator chamber not where your filter is. your stock fliter is right behind to your battery / ecu

i just replaced with the cai filter yesterday and i honestly don't think you can clean/replace the cai filter without taking off the bumper.
