Drum to disk confussion... Eg disks onto my 00 ek hatch
Ok i searched and read through a lot of information, including the X brakes onto my 96-00 civic post, which had a lot of great information. Im pulling brakes out of a 4dr ex eg with abs. Now i know that i use my same lower control arms and upper control arms, but (from what i understand of it) i need 99-00 si ebrake cables, brake fluid lines, and prop valve? Is this correct or will all the one's off the call im pulling it from work. Also im assuming that the abs lines will do me no good seeing how my car never came with abs
Your right . I did the swap also. get SI Master,E-Cables, and the Prop. No Lines Needed if your pulling the whole thing with the lines.
Have them on mines and im pleased.

You dont have to have the MC and prop vavle, but the pedal might feel a little mushy. I never switched mine when I did my conversion and its no big deal.

do you think the prop valve out of the car im taking the brakes off of would be better then my stock one, and i was gonna get a MC just not right at this moment. I dont want my pedal to feel "Mushy". i do take the car out to the track pretty often.

Actually, the DX shares the same Brake Booster and Prop valve as the 99-00 Si.
All the Original Poster needs are the e-brake cables (99-00 Si), I wouldn't upgrade the MC until you upgrade the front brakes.

Do you not want to upgrade the front brakes? I am just asking because it is a perfect upgrade with a noticeable difference especially after getting the 99-00 Si MC. This way you only need to go through the trouble of bleeding the brakes once.

Actually you'll be set with a 99-00 Si front brake set up which is less expensive than you think. Usually they go for about $175-$250 if at that. I did this to my hatch and sedan and love the improvement.
