GSR abs brake conversion into EG hatch - yes i searched
yes i know it's a huge pain in the ***. i have my entire wrecked gsr to pillage from so that's covered. did some searching and just need some holes filled in. i want to use the gsr suspension/4 wheel disc conversion and carry over the abs while i'm at it if possible.
i gather that the abs hard lines are a larger diameter. will my gsr hard lines work in an eg without a lot of bending/cutting? do i need to transfer them all? any way to avoid this?
abs m/c is different from non-abs, i know. i don't want to use the gsr booster because i think that will be too much assist for such a light car. is there an ABS m/c that will bolt right up to an eg booster? can i use the 91 civic ex 4 door m/c with the stock eg lines and booster and hook that all up to the abs somehow?
any advantage to integra calipers over eg calipers and how much trouble is that?
what about running wiring for the abs sensors?
what's the easiest way to tie this all together and make it work?
thanks for reading guys! and sorry i know this is all a clusterfuck, but welcome to the inside of my head!!!

your gonna have to swap your whole front spindle onto the eg for the front calipers. they will not bolt on to the stock eg spindles unless their from an ex. as far as the rear goes you will have to swap out the e-brake cables as well( maybe your teg cables will work), the drum cables dont hook to disc. and as far as abs goes go to http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com and compare 3dr si w/abs to your model and you can see the differences. hope this helps

If you are swapping the suspension over from the GSR you will have everything you need including all the sensors.
The tricky part is installing the hard lines and wiring (as I already mentioned in that e-mail I sent)
The other critical thing is swapping the GSR cluster over. I'm sure I have the wiring diagram somewhere I just keep forgetting to search my archives at home. "Archives" is giving it more credit than its due actually More like a bunch of random CD's scattered around LOL.
LOL I just read your sig "Milano Pink" ROTFLMAO. You should see the POS CX that I'm working on right now. Its like six diferent shades of 'Milano Pink' LOL
It may look like **** but it's going to be fast as hell. I'm swapping everything from my dead 2003 RSX.
K is the Way!

see, i'm surprised how few people understand that philosophy! that thing is gonna fly with a k in it. keep it looking ugly, just to expletive with people in 350Zs, S2Ks, mustangs, etc.
i know what you mean about archives, lol. a bunch of printed docs, saved links, etc etc. that's what i'm getting into now. check this one out. you wouldn't happen to have the helms in pdf would you?

True, they did, but, the civic ABS system is 3 channel, the 98+ integra system is 4 channel. This means that if you were in a corner (like on track), and used the brakes a tad, if the system detected a difference in wheel speed between the two rear wheels, which it probably will, the ABS will kick in. In a 4 channel system, each wheel is independatly controlled. Putting ABS in is a pretty tall task, but I've seen it done before in an 92-95 hatch! I thought about it, but, just never got around to it. Good luck!

Re: (phateless)
I am also doing this swap...I posted up a thread a while back but no one responded...
I also have a donor car that I will be taking everything off of. It seems that the newer model integra's have a smaller abs unit w/top entry hardlines, compared to the older bigger side entry hardlines. I have a 96 donor car that has the older ones...not to highjack this thread, but does anyone know if the wiring is the same between the older and newer units?
I also want to know if the 94-97 units were 3 or 4 channels...
good luck on your project...let see who finishes first

97 and older has 3 channel, 98+ has 4 channel (at least on integras.)

Re: GSR abs brake conversion into EG hatch - yes i searched (phateless)
just a question? why keep abs?
i just swapped a complete 99 gsr front brake setup on my hatch, im still using the 13/16 master cylinder, and i can stop from 40-0 in about a car lentgh or more so that doesnt give you much more room to steer out of the way even with the abs feature
