mpfi swap now bad vacuum problem
just finished a mpfi swap. I used a z6 im. I cant seem to figure it out. I have a vacuum line somehow crossed with a antifreeze line. When the car is running antifreeze is sucked from the resevoir so quick. You can hear the vacuum. Its sucking antifreeze into my motor and smoking like crazy. anybody have experience with the z6 im or have this problem b4 please let me kno.
It shouldn't be that hard; coolant lines if hooked up fully run from the passenger side of the intake manifold where it meets the head to the throttle body, than the IACV, and then back to the block. If you have a coolant line going anywhere else, you have a problem. If you have all your lines hooked correctly, it is possible you have a faulty IM gasket which is allowing Coolant to escape into the runner.
