I have a 98 Accord with the V6 engine. It sometimes will not start or dies when I am driving. Right before it dies the tach and the odometer quick working. When I try to start it the motor turns over but never fires. The tach also does not move when while the starter is turning the motor over. The mechanic has had my car for a week and can not recreate the problem. The distributor was replaced early on but the problem continued. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

it could be 2 things... your starter is bad or highly must be ur altinator. My mother's Toyota had same problems. Alt is easy to replace and about $70 from junk yard.

 

Starter turns the motor over no problem it just won't fire.
