Default Broken spark plug = Low Compression?

I got this b18b1 for cheap and the kid said there was low compression in cyl one. I took off the valve cover and saw the spark plug for cyl 1 was busted on the top. Could that have anything to do with it? (sorry... new to engine internals for the most part)

cyl 1 and 2

Spark plugs dont effect compression on a gauge. Pull them out, do a test and see what you get.

Get a trans case and hook up a starter and rotate the motor.

when u are doing a compression test.u need to take out the spark plugs anyway.so i dont think bad spark plugs are the factors of causing low compression. i think your piston rings are shot
