rear sway bar problems.....
what would cause my rear sway bar link to break for a second time since i owned it.... the garage said they fixed it the first time, but to tell you the truth i never looked.
while i was under the car it seemed almost impossible for the sway bar to even connect to the spot on the controller arm.... bent sway bar?

why would you pay a garage to fix an endlink, its really simple......plus you know what you did no questions asked, no one else to blame, and its cheaper, im not sure how you can bend a sway bar without knowing that second that you did it, but i would just go under the car and take the sway bar out and look at it, better yet buy a new with new endlink no questions asked on whether its bent and it will probably be cheaper especially if you did it yourself
do not respond again... first off... i have no idea how its happening, and second if you were to read, i stated that i couldn't even get it to line up. and second i do not have a garage... if i had one then i would have no problem doing it...
do not respond again... your pointless crap has me now typing to your dumb response. instead of TECH.
i asked if it could possibly be a bent sway bar. or is it more possible that its a bent ARM.
also for added info the back passenger (same side as the link) sits about a half inch to an inch lower than the other side (the body hieght to tires)

Need more info before you flame, OP. What kind of swaybar is it?
And if it is OEM, you sure you haven't been trying to install the swaybar upside down?

it is stock and i never tried to take it off... this problem has happened while on it... and ihave never done anything to bend it... but the previous ownwer might have... i just don't know
i'm not big into hondas any more, but if you want lots of great help, put on some pants or shorts you don't care so much about, whip out a digital camera (not a cell phone w/ camera; if you don't have one, borrow one ASAP), and take a whole bunch of pics of the sway bar, end links (pics of each side), and control arms. go crazy with pics. then look at all of them at your leisure, and compare the two sides. are the control arms the same shape on both sides? and the sway bar? and the end links? of course, mirror imaged. but then, if you don't see anything obvious, post up as many pictures on this thread as you can without feeling guilty about your own upload time. this is a helpful community and a lot of people probably want to help you, but this will be nearly impossible to diagnose (other than a lucky guess) without some good pictures.
EDIT: here goes my "lucky guess:" i wonder if the shop replaced the end link, but it installed it the wrong way around. i don't even know what it looks like as my RSX is in my fiancee's possession right now and she's not here, but many cars' end links have the same connection on both sides, and some end links have a shape unique to the car, rather than a straight rod.

chill out bro, it could possibly be a bent sway bar, it could possibly be a deffective endlink that broke, it could possibly be best control arms, it could possibly be a lot of things, but also it could possible be that the reason its not lining up is because the rest of the entire sway bar is torqued down to the opposite endlink and on the sub-frame, loosen those up and i almost garuntee it will line up, and just because you don't have a garage doesn't mean you can't work on a car, i rebuilt my motor in my driveway last summer, and have done every piece of work on it myself before it got stolen, goodluck bro, chillax man

again i don't want to sound like a dick here but just get under their with a new endlink and put it in after you loosened everything else, im almost 100% positive that the reason it doesn't line up is because the rest of the sway bar is torqued down, its very easy to get underneath the car since its the rear-sway bar, if its that big of a deal drive to say..... a commuter lot or a friends drive-way and use that for the whole hour you need to do this, just get your hands dirty under there and im almost positive that you will find your answer
Jack up the back of the car and disconnect both endlinks from the bar (or the one still on). Slightly loosen the middle bolts holding the sway to the rear subframe. Twist the swaybar to where it lines up to both endlinks.
You're gonna have to crawl under it. Nothing more we can tell you until you investigate further so please don't ask until you have more info.
