I don't have any sockets right now, so taking off the bumper isn't an option. It used to work like a charm with a butter knife, and now nothing. I can see the latch with a flash light, but the knife isn't pushing it high enough to unhook. Any ideas?

 

you cant get your hand up inside the bumper?

try and sit on the hood and put some weight into it then pop it with the lever unless thats why you cant get it open

 

No, the cable is broken and unhooked at the moment. The only way we had of opening it was sticking a butter knife in there and it would open. Is the only other option taking off the front bumper? Thanks for the suggestions so far guys

 

Well if the cable is broken u might be able to get your hand in there and pull on the cable by hand if not unbolt the 10mm bolt on the bottom radiator support and pull up the hood u will bend the radiator support but it might be the only way.

 

If theres room to reach it,theres the part with the spring on it that snaps the hood in. It could be unscrewed. :my$.02:
