problems with hood

Default problems with hood

ok i really need help one of my idiot friends tried poping the hood by the cable and took the cable off the thing to pop it i got under the car about 5 mins ago couldnt pop it with my finger is there something i missed id really apperciate it if some one helps me

took off the bumper and played with the lil button thing on the driver side and it still doesnt pop i really need help !!!!

You're gonna need to be way more specific, pictures maybe. Describing something as a cable button thingy doesn't help, lol.

Simple fix, just take a tool driver thingy to the hood holder latch thingy and wiggle the cable mounting thingymabob back and forth til the hood comes up and your done. now wasn't that helpful?

not really cause i already tryed moving the lil thingy bakc and fourth lol naw but ya i already tryed that the bumper is now off and dont know what to do im going to take pics!

LOL, what thingy?

just pull on the wire and it should pop. Don't pull on the plastic that is surrounding the wire.

the wire isnt attached to the latch in the front of the car where it pops i need to pop it manually without the wire

Take a flash light and look under the T bar where the latch is. ( bumper off) Don't try to pull on the cable, instead you'll see a flat piece of metal that seems to be wedged in the cylinder. That is what is holding the hood closed. Use a flat head screw driver and push back on it ( towards the fire wall). That will release the pin and unlatch the hood.

thanx i will try this later on today hopefully it works this hood problems the only thing thats holding me back
