Default tuning VAFC2

anybody have a quick reference (walkthrough) on how to "tune, street tune" a VAFC2?? i'm about to get one and want to know if its hard or if i should just take it to a tuner? basically i want a map for race settings, and one to lean it out for economy. is this possible? i have a bone stock 95 civic ex. im about to buy an intake as well. please don't rag on me and no i'm not looking into a swap or anything i just want to do this to my stock engine. thanks for the help!!

in my opinion its a waste of money to buy a vafc.. get a chipped p28 and tune with Crome.. or go Hondata.. the gains and tunability are far superior to the Vafc..

but you will have to tune on a dyno regardless. as 98vtec said to monitor your A/F with a wideband. you do not want to lean out or run too rich. both are a combo for a blown motor and a lot of $$$!!!

Good luck! i'd say call around to a tuner in the area and put it on a dyno. or if you want to stay with a semi stock motor spend that $ on a header and intake and high flow or no catalytic converter.

good luck on whatever you decide to do.

its easy to deal with if you understand what you are doing. If you dont know why you need a wideband to tune, then i would recommend paying someone to do it for you.

Crome is free, but the free version is very time consuming.

Crome Pro is 150.

its nearly impossible to teach someone how to tune over the internet. Get your basics of EFI down and jump into it. Buy books, read articles online. You cant expect people to tell you how to do things when most of us have shelled out the money to teach ourselves.
