Default school me on wire harnesses

ok, im swapping a sir2 b16 into my 95 civic dx tomorrow and pretty much know how to do everything, but not 100% on the wiring part.
im thinking i would have to use the sir2 engine harness, does the engine harness plug in at the shock tower and go to the ecu?
and then run the vtec, oil, and knock into the ecu?...and extend the o2?

Okay...Use the search function and it will tell you everything...But I will tell you this, if you have a "JDM" Engine, then that wiring harness will not work because its designed for a RHD vehicle...

Reuse your DX wiring harness and extend certain wires...Then add the wires for the VTEC Oil Pressure and VTEC Solenoid and Knock Sensor and you're good to go...Run these extra wires from the sensors themselves straight to the ECU...

If you don't comprehend then search...

c-speedracing.com has good write up...Good Luck Buddy...

see, the thing is, i have been searching for a few months, anytime someone on here asks a question, no one answers it, they tell them to search, and let me tell you that search button is useless
why cant someone who knows the answer just tell you, that is what this site is for
the only thing i have found is what wires to add, and where they go, not which harness to use
you answered which harness to use, thank you
but i was also wanting to know if the engine harness plugs in at the shock tower to another harness that goes to the ecu or if the engine harness goes directly to the ecu
i will learn when i do the swap, but i was just wanting to know to give me a heads up

Try typing in b16 wiring or civic wiring or any words related to your question in the search and you'll find lots of info. It may help if you limit your words in the search and then just look through until you find the post that relates to your question.

The engine wiring harness is independant to itself in the engine bay...Once you get the wiring connected all inside the bay, then you have the plugs that are close to your firewall, near battery and what not...You just plug in there and the rest is already done in shock tower to ECU...Kapeesh...So only add the wires directly to your ECU for the VTEC oil, solenoid and knock sensor...Hope this helps...
