You can do that. If you get the kit you are able to remove the balance shaft itself, but the motor would most likely need to be pulled.
I have never done it, Ive check up on what it does exactly. Some people say it doesnt affect the longevity of the motor, others say it does.
Its one of those things that adds a few extra HP, for a DD its not really recommended, but for an all out racing motor, then its awhole lot more common for them to remain off.

yea, its not a dd, and im having the bottom end balanced so im not worried about vibration or bearing wear, i just would rather not spend the money right now ont the kit if i dont have to, thanks
