Default So when are the locals going to meet? (Augusta/Aiken/Columbia region)

While I lived in Detroit, I organized a weekly hassle free gathering to loiter and talk cars. It was always a great evening and we had local police support as it was a perfect way to limit the street racing to non-populated areas, keep the drugs and alcohol off the streets and even centralized all the "troublesome" ricers.
Plus it also brought out more exotic cars of all types as well as the regular "muscle" and was "hate free" which was saying something for Detroit.

Is there anything like that here?

Friday nights usually worked the best and parking structures always allow for good accoustics for blipping the throttle (not bouncing off the rev-limiter)and covered parking in the event of rain.

Given this is the South, I doubt covered parking is even an option, but are there any locations in the Augusta/Columbia area locals would want to get together on a regular basis?

275 HARBISON BLVD, SUITE P, COLUMBIA, SC 29212
Location is based on the AT&T Corp store since thats the parking lot it shares along with a wine place and bunch of other **** i dont pay attention to.

Very broad range of cars/trucks, not just "ricers". Cops hangout at sonic to make sure people dont do dumb ****.

If you can find a covered spot that we can hangout im down. We usually go downtown near ABC tv station to take picutres "its covered" as well as behind the museum

Hey yah man, if you are in Augusta then you can hit up a few spots on Washington RD. on the weekends.

Also check out http://www.csramotorsports.com
this is where all of us in the Augusta area converse. There are other forums as well that you can get to from there

My name is Jon aka White Boy Jon (WB Jon on the CSRA site) if you look up the Stay Tuned section on that site you will see myself and the other in my club. We try to organize a lot during the summer months.

Also check out the Events section. There is a Cruise in coming up on Apr 5th in South Augusta.
