Does it matter what kind do you use dot 3 or 4 does it make a diff? About to bleed my brakes this weekend.

What are the pros and cons of dot 3 and 4, this is for daily driving, and yes I search and could not find the answers.

 

I like to use the Valvoline Syntech brake fluid. Compatible with other stock fluids, and it seems to be a lot less hyrophilic. You can find it at most auto parts stores.
I think it is labeled as DOT 3 and 4. I have also used Motul 5.1, but I can't really justify the cost difference between the two.

 

I used that Valvoline brake fluid in my Accord, my Civic and my girls Jimmy and it's worked great so far.

 

and what is the diff. between 3 and 4 and do you use 3 or 4?

 

The Valvoline is rated both 3 and 4, not two seperate bottles.
Higher is better.
