Default Help! Valvesprings

Alright so I'm putting just a CTR intake cam into my gsr, is it best for me to buy just the itr intake valve springs ($100) or buy supertech dual valve springs for 40 bucks more and it will come with both intake and exhaust springs. Also I can use my stock retainers right? Basically what i'm putting in is CP 11:1 pistons, PNP the head and put the ctr intake cam in. I'm hoping to hit 180whp at least

If you use ITR intake valve srings, move your current GSR intake valve springs to the exhaust side. ITR exhaust springs = GSR (B18C1) intake springs.

Alright kool thx. So you guys dont think spending the extra 40 bucks on supertech valve springs for both intake and exhaust is a good idea?

That depends on the condition of your valvesprings right now. If they are old or have a lot of miles on it, would you really feel comfortable in reusing them. For an extra $40 you are assured a set of fresh valvesprings and you will have the flexibility to use bigger cams in the future if you decide the ITR intake cam isn't enough power.

Yeah thats a good answer because I'm just wondering if dual valve springs for my exhaust side which is just a stock gsr cam would be a downfall?

If you're gonna spend the money on a P&P, you might as well get some bigger cams to take advantage of the it.
