best cam to run(single slammer)

Default best cam to run(single slammer)

i plan on running a turbo, right now i have a d16y7 block with a d16z6 head, just wondering what cam i should run, i'm looking for a lopey idle, point me in the right direction fellas

Well, I have to say that neither SOHC nor turbo is my thing. BUT, from what I DO know about turbocharging, the kind of radical cam that gives a lopey idle is FAR less than ideal for a turbo. A lopey cam means LOTS of overlap. And lots of overlap means that the turbo is just going to blow ALOT of the intake charge right out the exhaust.

There are different cams that you can run, Crower,skunk2, zex ect.. Bisimotor makes some badass cams for the SOHC if you have the money to buy it. If your going for a stage2 or higher you might want to look into getting ti retainers and dual valve springs. I have the skunk2 stage1 in my y8 and i love it. Great power all around and i didnt need ti retainers or dual valve springs to run it either.
