Default Bad box good inside sound

So i got a bad box with holes drilled in the side (dont ask) that are plugged with cloth hahahaha. Im going 2morrow to get some mdf and make a new box, but the inside sound in the car is really good, the thing though when i open the trunk u cant really hear the bass just inside the car really. All u hear while outside is the rattling of **** (u cant hear inside the car just barely) but will a new box made RIGHT produce more bass and more outside the car bass? its a sedan in the trunk facing outward. Pic 2morrow. The sub is one TS-W300R and a 100 watt 4 ohm 300 watt max i think thanks will this even producve bass outside the car? I want to be heard at a redlight.
