when i start my car the maintenance light goes on and blinks for a couple of seconds and then goes away but it only happened after i installed my springs would that have something to do with it ?

 

no the maintenance light only comes on when you need an oil change, air filter replacement, brake fluid, etc.. but if it doesnt stay on than theres no problem

 

i checked my brake fluid its still decently full and i just had an oil change i'm guessing it could be my air filter ? cause i hardly doubt that the check engine light would go on for a spring change ...

 

yeah but this could also be any fluids.. power steering, clutch fluid
and yeah you should also check your air filter

but i dont think anything is wrong with it since the light doesnt stay on..

 

FYI: the maintenance required light has nothing to do with anything with your engine. It is preprogrammed by Honda to remind you to service the car after a certain mileage.

The CEL (Check Engine Light) is the light that you should worry about. If this light is on or flashing it means that something is wrong with your car.

The CEL looks like this:

and I think the 65,000 marks the light flashes

not 100% sure but mine started flashing recently at near 65,000miles

 

If you don't reset the Maint' Req'd light, it will stay solid. There is a reset procedure in the FAQ.

 

awesome thanks guys very use full ... yea i checked on the faqs thread its just a reminder but i don't think i should worry i did my complete maintenance earlier than its supposed to be thanks !

 

it comes on every 5000 for regular maint and needs to be reset it is easy to do.
