This may be normal and i may have just realized it because I was in a garage but I sprayed my motor of with purple power. I hopped in the car and started it up to help dry the motor off and while i was in the car i tacked the car up 3,500 rpm a few times with the clutch in to speed the process up. when i got out of the car i walked towards the back and I noticed this odor. i crouched down and sniffed the exhaust and it smelt like gas was poured in it. it may be cause i stomped the gas. is this anything to worry about or would my actions cause that in any vehicle?

yeah i have a cat. her name is whiskers. no just kidding but yes i do. i just read something off google that said the ecu has the car run richer to help it warm up faster but i dont know how much truth there is to that. its 35 degrees here and its the first time i started it up so maybe, i dont know. also im putting vtec in this car. i cant stand slow. i had an 06 evo MR but totalled it. now im planning on my second honda venture. 1st was a 98 with ls motor. had h22 to swap in but was stolen off my truck on christmas eve of last year. what motor should I be looking for. i dont want spray or any bull crap i want an all motor car that will make me pinned to the seat. my evo was nasty but today on youtube i watch a hatch with a k20 spank an evo 8 more than once from a roll.

Oh and mr genius- When its cold , the computer dumps more fuel into the motor in order to make it start easier. So you being inside your closed garage, it being cold is the reason you smell gas.

i thought i had explained that it wasnt really an enclosed garage. its a carport with a fence on on side a shed on the back and a deck on the otherside which attaches to my house.and yes i understand that running a car in a garage is a good way to get killed. anyway I was just wondering if it was normal and if there was any truth to the ecu running the motor rich at first so i guess you have answered my question. but please dont question my intelligence. im not some backwoods hick with no sense or education.
