Brian,thanks for filming those.Im really happy with how my car held up against the B16.I knew id lose,but that was within a car length up past 100mph.Not to bad for a "slow,heavy car"I want a rematch with Jon though,after i finish up the bolt ons and try to gut 100lbs outta this thing.Next time,from a dead stop

 

Well the 2g teggy isn't a featherweight either.

I'd say that's pretty good, but I'm still not impressed with the 02SI bus.

 

Wow,what does the 02 have to do to get ANY respect???What does that Teg weigh? maybe 2550?Everyone always talks like a B16 powered car will flat out destroy an 02,and well,heres proof that the 02 may not win,but that was FAR from being destroyed.

 

A B16 in a second gen. integra isn't really impressive at all.

its the same setup as a 99-00 Si and that was the point of the post. To show that a 02 Si wasn't all that much slower than the last Si.

 

Thank you Brian.Thats all i wanted to see to,because Jons car is pretty damn much the same thing as a 99-00,speedwise.So im happy.Not even a full carlength till 100+.Not to bad.

Sorry, but Honda screwed the pooch with the new SI, but hell, if you like it, that's all that matters right?

Dont worry about respect, it will come in due time when the car proves itself. I already give the car it's due respect and have considered getting one, but I'm probably going to end up getting an rx7 around october, or a supra, but we will see. If I got ANY civic, it would probably be the new one. I have much respect, it's proved it's abilities at vtec.net too, they have some autocross videos that I was very impressed with considering the size and patheticness of the stock rubbers on the car.

 

I don't mine the new SI, but for the price, I don't think so here in Canada, it's almost the same price has a RSX Type S, and to my knowledge, the RSX Type S is alot faster, anyways, still to slow for my taste

Ahh,well then,we need to get in car vids from the 02 Trust me,it sounds like a b16/b18c stuck in vtec as soon as you hit the gas.Its frigging LOUD,but has a deeper sound than a b series.Underrated,im not a big fan of streetracing either but we had a good oppertunity to do this last night at about 2 am,and the car we passed was the only one on the highway at the time Just our luck.Anyways,i wasnt trying to sound butthurt about some of the comments,but people need to realize WHATS racing in the vids,these are not 2 fast cars by any means,LOL.Im just glad my car didnt get killed like i thought it would.I kept hearing how a b series powered car will totallt dominate an 02,and well,that sure as hell wasnt a domination by any means.But shoot,a 2500lbs b16 power car with a passenger,vs a 2744lbs car with a passenger.......Not to bad IMHO,im pleased

 

Civicgsr93.......I got mine for under that...and it was so worth it now that i look back.I hardly paid more for my 02 than i did for my 00.

Well **** happens.My 00 was as slow as my 02 is when it was stock(and thats the truth,i need to run a STOCK 99-00,but good luck finding a stock one).And its not ALL their fault we get the bottom of the barrel in the states.Thats just how things are,and we have no choice but to deal with it.Oh,for the record,i wasnt trying to "impress" anyone,we go footage of my car last night,and Brian poisted it.I bet i could post vids of my old car ******* up mustangs and people wouldnt be "impressed"

 

Sweet, a 12 year old motor is just as fast as a brand new one.

A 1.6 is just as fast as a 2.0.

to honda for not making strides forward with new cars. Look at ford and what they did with the 03 cobra. Why can't honda do something like that.....
