Im trying to figure out how much hp increase i am going to get out of installing skunk2 cams gears? or if i should go with a different brand or if there is anything else i should do along with installing the cam gears?

 

u useally want to retard the ex and advance the intake but it needs to be dyno tuned for good results, your only going to get around 4hp out of them unless your boosted or have a n/a monster

 

where did 4hp come from?

I cant tell you how much you will gain as different setups will want different settings which takes a dyno to discover.

there is no "magic" number that you set the gears to.

 

understood, im just trying to figure out how these all motor h22's running like 300 to 350+ hp!! Because all i can think of is changing out the sleeves, crank, rods, cam shaft and gears. but i didnt think changing those out would increase the hp that much...

 

you didnt think changing internal parts would gain much???

guys are running 300 whp with incredibly wild cams, high compression, big bore, big stroke, wild porting...everything.

 

also understood, but, just understand that i am still learning haha. i should probably start saving some money eh? what are the best sleeves to get for an h22? and how much can they be bored?
