Default I want more HORESPOWER!!!

I was thinking of going turbo but I just found out the Greddy kit is not C.A.R.B legal... Unless I go with Edelbrock however that a good $5,000... So know Im planning N/A, but the thing is I live in CA!!! cops are harsh when it comes to street racing, and modified cars. I want a LEGAL setup that will pass smog... I know Am I crazy??? But Dont want to deal with state ref or cops... So what setup do you guys reccomend???(Internals...) Thanks for your help

Oh yeah before I forget, I want to push about 200-215WHP(if possible...)

MODS:
*BLOX IM
*68mm Throttle bodie
*Costumized short ram intake w/ velocity stack
*GReddy EVO2 Exhaust Catback

The hardest thing for law enforcement to check is internal engine work. If you sleeve a block and go with a big bore and perhaps a stroker crank, you will gain loads of torque and horsepower. Externally the motor will still appear 'stock'. A ported head also looks just like a stock head when it is sitting in your engine bay.
Be prepared to spend $$ though.

the greddy kit is carb legal as long as you don't run an intercooler. This is fine long as you don't go over like 6 or 7 psi I think.

Afraid not... I called Greddy last week and it was carb legal in 2001, but now since they are running e-mannege it is no longer legal. But the dude told me that they are working on making it carb legal again like the S2k.

There's many ways to go about it, not really a wrong way to go about it, unless you want gobs of power which just leads to many other issues ( not just one in particular)

Other than your legal bolt-ons, I would highly suggest looking into gearing. Either a gear set or a 4.9 FD.
