Hi guys, I have a 2005 lx-g (in canada) and am looking to get a new set of wheels just to make the car look nicer. Unfortunately, i dont know much about the wheels. What size could I possible go up to and whats ideal for my car without further modifications to the car. Thanx guys, also, if you guys could tell me how to understand the numbers on the tires and on the wheels that would be great. thanx alot!
i wouldnt recommend you go bigger than 17...
what look are you going for? you want the lo-profile tire?
or the 'tuner' look...?
are you dropping your car?

on our style cars u can go up to 19'' with a low profile tire if u plan on not lowering the car. if u r, u can do 17'' or push 18'' rims but watch how low u lower the car so that u do not rub.
once again...18s and 19s (even though do-able) are not recommendable...
but i guess it all depends on what youre gearing your car towards....whether youre just going for a better look, or youre trying to make it a 'show' car, or its gonna be a track car (which it doesnt seem to be your case)
id say drop your car 1.6" with tein springs, and slap some 17's on it with low profile rubber...

I agree here. if u r using the car as an everyday driver then slap on 17''s and lower it. thats what i did and it looks great and mine is an everyday driver.

what he means is the when u do rims 16'' and higher the car has a large wheel gap. i had that before i put on my lower springs. it looked like i was ready to go off roading.

I'm lookin at this website http://www.wheelsnext.com and i see some wheels that i like and the tire options are as follows for 17x7 wheels 205/40/17, 215/40/17, 215/45/17 and 215/50/17...what do these numbers mean? and also there are rims that are 17x7.5...no idea what the difference is with the 17x7 ...
