Default 95' Civic Ex - Hesitation problems

Hey guys,

I have been experiencing some problems when my car gets warmed up. It starts to hesitate right around 1100-2000rpms... anything above that it is completely fine, but feels like it wants to die in that range. It has no problems when the engine is cold though. Also, if I turn the car off and try to turn it back on (once warmed up) it will give a very rough start, sometimes it takes 5 mins to get it going, with repeated attempts to get the motor to rev up. Any ideas?

do a compression test, when the car starts and does it hesitate when u put on electronics like lights or windows, does the car burn oil, or feel weak, my car hesitated when at idle and startedvery weak or after like 5 sec and i thnk either piston rings or valve seals are bad

Heres some more information i was just playing around with it:

It's idling really low (400ish) ...

I hit the gas hard and it will sputter until about 2000rpm, sometimes just stall out. I hit it softly and I can get it to go smooth (but this softness is not feasible in real driving.)

Air filter hasn't been changed in a long time (however i took it off and tested it just to see if it was the problem) .. Fuel Filter hasn't been changed as long as I have had the car (2-3 years) and IACV hasn't been cleaned as long as I have had it either. Plugs and wires I could check on, however everyone i have talked to hasn't said it could be this if its idling smooth and it's just having a "dead spot" in that 600 - 2000 range..

I don't know if this helps at all

I drive a 95 Dx with a 98 LS swap and I'm having similar problems. No Check engine light, and this is the second LS in this Dx with these problems. Ive changed spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, intake manifold, and cleaned the throttle body. The problem still continues. MY idle is alright, it just hesitates at the same rpms. and i have no power windows or anything.
