Default Tires for 16x7

I got a 02 civic ex coupe with 16x7 wheels. I currently have 225/50 on there but im in need of some new tires and im looking to get something with a little smaller sidewall because the current tires look a little huge on my car. Just wondering your opinions on these sizes

205/50
205/55
215/50

The 215/50's are about $30 more than the others so would I be fine with a 205/55 or 205/50?

I am thinking about going with Kumho Ecsta ASX also.

Thanks in advance
Paul

215/50R16 is perfect to keep the proper overall diameter.

205/55's and 205/50's are either too small or too large, but not by much. 195/55's are very close to stock diameter also.

I had 205/45's on my 16x7's and it looked good but I was constantly afraid of hitting a big pothole. Traded them for 15's to get a bit more sidewall there for the street.

215/50/16 is identical to the sizing of the stock wheel/tire combination.
