every time i fill my gas tank, The gas always spills over before the pump stops. What causes this? it has never happened to my dc2 or em1. It's my first time owning an ej1. I always have gas running down my paint.

pump shutoff is a feature of the pump not your car, try another gas station

 

Don't fill up using the fastest setting and listen to it fill. You can hear it when the tank is full and the fuel is starting to fill up the filler neck. Stop it there before it over-fills. I too had this happen once after I got my EJ, but it is a pump issue and not the car.

 

the funny thing is it happen at any gas station or pump. I even tested my other car at the same pump and it doesn't happen.
