yes they will bolt up... i had a 99' y8 in my eg... but if your putting the EK auto transmission in a EG that was a 5-speed i think you would need the auto-adapter engine mount, im not sure... we had to use the special mount when we put a 5-speed gsr in an original automatic EG

Technically, the Del Sol is the EG. A 92-95 USDM Hatch is an EH, Coupe is EJ. It's highly mis-used all over the internet. Chassis code has nothing to do with the model code.

Chassis codes have to do with the following:
- Year(s)
- Model
- Engine
- Body Style (sometimes)

EGs in the US are only the '93-'95 del Sol S (EG1), the '94-'97 del Sol VTEC (EG2), the '92-'95 Civic DX sedan (EG8) and the '92-'95 Civic LX sedan (EG8).

The rest would be:
EH2 ('92-'95 Civic CX/DX/VX hatch)
EH3 ('92-'95 Si hatch)
EH6 ('96-'97 del Sol S)
EH6 ('93-'97 del Sol Si)
EH9 ('92-'95 Civic EX sedan)
EJ1 ('93-'95 Civic EX coupe)
EJ2 ('93-'95 Civic DX coupe)

And EJs are also several different 6th gen Civic models too. Just to add some more confusion there.

But yes, EF, EG, EK... they're all generally wrong. And calling all models from said generation that is totally incorrect.
