i'm looking to get a used set of toda itb's for my jdm itr motor with bc3+ cams. now i've searched the archives, but i still want some feedback from guys here that have actually used them.
i understand they are difficult to tune, and are supposed to make more low and midrange gains, as opposed to top end gains.
so please tell me what you think of them, and if they were worth the time and effort you spent. tnx

depends what you're going to be using the car for.
if it's track only then ITB's are worth the aggrovation of getting them tuned, if it's a daily with the occasional track event, a ported and polished intake manifold is a more sensible solution.
that goes for all brands of ITB's really. someone I know over here has/had them on his R, he got pissed off with them when trying to maneuver and park his car, with micromillimeter sensitive throttle the thing was a pain.

Short version. Nope and Nope. But I'm pretty bitter about it.

I'm pretty sure Black R runs that set-up. Trying searching through his threads on PM him

I use Toda throttles on my ITR motor. For tuning, I went to Church Automotive Testing with an Apexi Power FC. Sean did a great job, and my goal was to pick up as much midrange as possible. I don't have any problems with partial throttle. Really the only problem I had was finding a throttle cable that would fit properly (Civic chassis). Ended up having to slightly bend my gas pedal to get WOT
