Default da gauge cluster wont light up

ok so i decided to put amber bulbs from autozone in my da cluster took everything apart put the amber bulbs in and the tach and speedo dosent light up havent checked fuses yet and i kno my dimmer switch is still good. any ideas would be a big help.

when i put amber bulbs in my cluster I had the same problem. i ended up "breaking" the bronze colored lines on the back that are used for powering everything. It was a tiny tear that I didn't notice until I looked at it under a magnafine glass. you might want to check that.

thanx dude have to check that. hopefully thats not it i really dont feel like buying another jdm cluster

anyone kno wat fuse i would check?? the temp is 10 degrees and 15 below windchill id jus like to kno wat to look for right away cause its so cold out and i have to work on it outside

could be your dimmer switch or check some of your fuses

make sure evrything is lined up right, re check your wiring for the gauge cluster, or maybe its the gauge cluster itself .... try puting different bulbs in..... i had the same problem and i bought a new cluster then i realized i didnt hook it up right so check it out

umm.. i just very carefully sodered (sp?) the connection back together. but you have to be very VERY careful not to burn up the rest of the plastic lining or burn another hole into the copper connection path.

yea everything worked fine till i put the new bulbs in i even put the old bulbs in and it dident work. and my turn signals dont work either im gettn so frustrated!!!!

well maybe its not your cluster... make shure there isnt a wire grounding out in the actual dash....
