Hi, I have been contemplating an auto to manual swap into my 2000 LX for the past few months and finally decided to do it. So in the process of acquiring the parts my problem arouse. Right now im trying to buy the 5spd. manual transmission but I need to know whether an EX manual tranny will work with my D16y7 engine? If so which ECU would I use the one for the LX or EX? Thanks in advance.

 

Yes, the EX transmission will work.

As for the ECU, your LX should be fine. It's not like you're swapping in a motor or anything.
