Default Catback: Skunk2 or Evo2 for 97 base?

I'm TOTALLY new to this....

Greddy Evo2 vs. Skunk 2 Megapower.

Which would you choose and why? It'll be paired with an AEM SRI.

I'm not necessarily looking for super-awesome dyno numbers....this is street only. Any idea which delivers more mid-range power?

thanks!

I am one of the many happy owners of the EVO2 and will never look back... Not sure about raw horsepower gained but the sound is amazing. Even if the Skunk2 made 5 more hp, it would never be worth the high pitched sound OMHO.

So are you saying the Skunk 2 has a higher pitch than the Evo2?
So far, from multiple sources, the scales are tipping in favor of the Greddy.

I had a skunk2 in my integra and it was NOT high pitched!!! The evo2 and skunk2 are both N1 style exhaust, they will have a deep rumble sound to it.
I prefer the skunk2 cause the canister is smaller and you can see less of the exhaust!

Mmmmm....Deep rumble. That's what I'm after. Also got a quote on a custom catback using a Magnaflow muffler but I don't want it so loud I get pulled over!

I'm in Illinois and when I had the skunk2, I got pulled over just once. All N1 style exhaust's are going to be loud.

I also had a header on it which made it a little louder
