how long does it usually take to bleed the clutch line? ive been pumping the clutch pedal about 50times and having my friend open the bleeder screw every 10 times and i still havent gotten any presure in the pedal. dont know whats wrong.

A brake bleeding kit does work wonders (especially since it's the same fluid).
But, if you're stuck on a budget, you could always just take a small hose and attach it to the bleeder screw on the slave cylinder, fill up the clutch reservoir, and use the remainder of brake fluid and submerge the hose on the slave cylinder in it.

You may be doing this already, but make sure you don't lift your foot while the the bleeder is being open and closed. Three strokes of the pedal should do it, and open the bleeder and close it with your pedal flat on the floor. If this won't get it a cheap MityVac vaccuum pump will.
there is no pedal feel whatsoever. when you start pumping the clutch you have to pull it back up. when you press it to the floor, it just stays there. we also tried using the pump to no avail.
could have something gone wrong when we swapped it? there was pedal feel in the donor car.

This is a very timely process on our cars, try to find a one of the brake pumps... They really do work... Last time I changed my Master cylinder I bled the lines for 45 minutes with no luck, so I started the car in gear and limped it to the shop and borrowed their pump. Took about 15 seconds to pull the fluid through.

The best way to bleed the clutch is the following method. Taught to me from speedfoos.
Get a small rubber tube, similar to the tube that is used for windshield washer fluid. Attach that to the bleeder valve, the other/open end of the tube goes into a large jar with a small amount of clutch/bleeder fluid already in it. Have a friend pour fluid into the reservoir as you pump the pedal. Every so often get out and check out the tube, make sure that it's full of fluid and no air coming out. When you get to the point where a good amount of fluid has been pushed through the system and there is no air bubbles in the tube then close the bleeder valve and your done. I don't think it'll take much more then 20-30 pumps. I've used this method twice and it's worked perfectly both times.

Thats sounds pretty good, I did a bleed before but I still seemed to have air. I tried tonite and i went to bleed it and pushed the pedal down with the bleeder screw open and the clutch went to the floor , so i tightened the screw then to kept pumping but not getting anywhere to gain tension. any ideas????
im JDMInspired. that was my account when i forgot my info to this account. anyways we used a vaccumm bleeder which is available from sears. we vacummed pumped the system until there was no signs of air bubbles. once the air bubbles were gone, close the bleeder valve and check for pressure. voila.
ps: you will need a big bottle of brake fluid.
